The set of thermochromic varnishes comprises heat indicators of transparent varnish 1-99 and poly(3-alkyl thiophene) solutions 99-1 per cent by volume respectively. Also claimed is a process for preparing the products. CLAIMED PROCESS - The process provides coatings for rapid indication of the temperature of their substrate. EMBODIMENT - The color-change coatings are applicable e.g. to workpieces, machinery and plant.
