OPTICAL DISK DRIVER

PURPOSE: An optical disk driver is provided to reduce manufacturing cost by improving a structure for electrically connecting a main circuit board installed in the housing side and a sub-circuit board installed in the tray side. CONSTITUTION: A main circuit board(52) is installed in a housing(50). A tray(60) is displaceable into/out of the housing(50). A spindle motor(70) and an optical pick-up unit are installed in the tray(60). A bracket(72) is installed in the tray for supporting the spindle motor(70). A control circuit is installed in the bracket(72) for controlling the spindle motor(70) and the optical pick-up unit. An electric socket(54) is installed in the main circuit board(52). A plurality of elastic members(53) are supported to the electric socket, and electrically connected to the main circuit board(52). A plurality of conductive terminals are connected to the control circuit of a sub-circuit board, inserted into the electric socket(54) during insertion of the tray(60) into the housing(50) to be electrically connected to the elastic members(53), and separated from the electric socket(54) on protrusion of the tray(60) from the housing(50) to be electrically disconnected from the elastic members(53).
