PURPOSE: A method for vacuum depositing a metallic coating film on a reel for fishing is provided to reduce time and accompanying costs required in coating a reel component by heating and evaporating a metallic material inside a vacuum vessel, thereby forming a thin metallic coating film on the surface of a material to be treated, the reel component, and maintain beautiful external appearance for a long time since the metallic coating film formed on the surface of the reel is not easily stripped off. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the processes of a setting process of fixing a reel component (6) composing a reel for fishing to a material support (3) installed inside a vacuum vessel (2), and positioning a deposition material (7) for forming a metallic coating film on the surface of the reel component (6) on the a heating heater (5); a vacuum deposition process composing the inside of the vacuum vessel (2) in the vacuum state by exhausting the air inside the vacuum vessel through an air discharging pipe (2a) after passing through the setting process, and depositing metallic particles evaporated from the deposition material (7) on the surface of the reel component (6) by supplying current to the heating heater (5) so that the deposition material (7) is heated to a temperature of 1000 to 1200 deg.C; and a post-treating process of reprocessing a metallic coating film formed on the surface of the reel component (6) by taking out the metallic coating film formed reel component (6) from the vacuum vessel (2) after passing through the vacuum deposition process, and coating a paint on the surface of the metallic coating film.
