摘要 PURPOSE: A multi channel image encoding system is provided to obtain a stable frame rate through a priority order detection using a phase between synchronous signals of input channel. CONSTITUTION: A mulitplexer(1) selects some among analog signals inputted from a plurality of channels. A video decoder(3) selects one of four input analog video signals and outputs a digital video signal of Y-U-V format. A video data multiplexer(9) selects one of digital video signals output from two video decoders(3). A video decoder controller(21) controls the multiplexer(1), the video decoder(3), and the video data multiplexer(9). A memory(27) stores a digital video signal of a selected channel in fields. An MPEG encoder(15) reads the digital video signal stored in the memory(27) and performs an MPEG encoding operation. A generator(11) generates a synchronous signal of data which is inputted to the MPEG encoder(15). A CPU(25) initializes a register. The CPU(25) receives interrupts generated by a channel switching section(13) and a user code inserting machine(19) and records necessary information in the register.
