PURPOSE: A vehicle body rotating device and a method thereof using a hydraulic jack are provided to easily park a vehicle in a small space and to forwardly travel when long distance backward movement is needed by rotating the vehicle body. CONSTITUTION: A vehicle body rotating device comprises a hydraulic jack(1) and a support panel(2). A thrust bearing and a taper bearing used when load is applied in an axial direction are fitted to the support panel. A cylinder shaft(1a) of the hydraulic jack is fitted to the bores of the thrust bearing and the taper bearing. To prevent the breakage of a base panel(5) due to the concentration of load, a cross shape reinforcing panel(6) is attached outside the hydraulic jack and a cross shape reinforcing stand(7) is attached onto the base panel. Thus, the weight of the vehicle is dispersed. When a worker desires to lift up the wheels of the vehicle for the rotation of the vehicle body or replacement of the wheels, the cylinder shaft of the hydraulic jack is moved downwardly. For rotating the vehicle body, the cylinder shaft is rotated slowly.
