PURPOSE: A system and a method for processing an inquiry and the reservation procedure for a transportation are provided to process a request of a customer and to offer a communication channel for inquiring and reserving a transportation between a customer and a transportation device businessman through the Internet. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises steps of a server(1) displaying a transportation plan including a departure position, an arrival position and a plan data receiving from a plurality of transportation businessmen on a customer monitor(11), a customer selecting a transportation plan fit to the transportation request of the customer, the server sending an fare inquiring format to a server through a network, the server informing the selected transportation company of the fare inquiry, the server displaying the format on a monitor(21,31,41) of transportation company, the transportation company determining the transportation fare, the transportation company sending the transportation fare to the server through the network, the server informing the customer of a reception of transportation fare, and the server displaying the transportation fare.
