METHOD FOR CONTROLLING ELECTRIC POWER OF COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for controlling electric power of a communication system is provided to perform the optimized power control when an error is generated in a power control command transmitted from a base station by optimizing transmission power according to the channel environment. CONSTITUTION: A mobile station initializes variable K as 0 and increases the variable K one by one whenever receiving a TPC(Power Control Command)(S700). The mobile station checks whether the variable K is N-1(S701). In case that the variable K is not N-1, the mobile station receives the TPC continuously(S702). In case that the variable K is N-1, the mobile station checks whether the received TPCs are equal(S703). In case that the received TPCs are equal, the mobile station increases or decreases transmission power according to the received TPCs(S704). In case that the received TPCs are not equal, the mobile station maintains the transmission power(S705) and receives the final Nth TPC(S706). The mobile station adjusts the transmission power according to the received final Nth TPC(S707).
