PURPOSE: A method for preparing anhydrous aluminium chloride and zinc simultaneously is provided, to prevent the coagulum of aluminium from being formed by moisture and AlOCl and ZnOHCl from being formed by the binding of AlCl3 and ZnCl2 with oxygen, thereby improving the purity. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of reacting a melted aluminium-zinc alloy and a melted zinc chloride, thereby preventing the inflow of air and moisture; and cooling, condensing and collecting the evaporated anhydrous aluminium chloride and collecting zinc from the melted solution by gravitation. Preferably the ratio of aluminium to zinc is 2:8 to 3:7, of the aluminium-zinc alloy, and the melting point of the alloy is 275-300 deg.C. |
