PURPOSE: A wrapping machine using in-process electrolytic dressing is provided to accomplish micro mirror surface grinding by using electrolytic devices and to reduce cost on processing. CONSTITUTION: A wrapping machine(100) composed of a surface plate(10) whereon many wrapping wheels(12) are distributed has a power supply unit(1) for supplying pulse voltage. A graphite brush(16) connected to the power supply unit is attached to the surface plate. A copper electrode(14) is fixed on the upper face of the surface plate. The grinding efficiency of the wrapping wheel made of the diamond grinding material and a bonding material is degraded due to the planarized surface. The bonding material is eluted via initial electrolytic dressing, and the grinding material is protruded. After the bonding material is finely eluted, an insulating layer is formed on the surface of the wrapping wheel. Upon starting wrapping, the workpiece contacts to the insulating layer and the layer is peeled off as much as the grinding material is work out. New grinding material is protruded by an in-process electrolytic dressing cycle. Thus, stable processing is progressed. Micro processing is maintained by the self-control of the in-process electrolytic dressing wrapping. |
