PURPOSE: A power saving circuit of a monitor is provided to turn on/off a DC voltage supplied to each circuit of a monitor by turning on/off a driving power applied to an input driving power terminal of a power driving IC. CONSTITUTION: When a low level signal from an MCU(50) is output to the first transistor(Q1), the first transistor(Q1) is turned off. A photo coupler(PT) includes a photo diode and a photo transistor. A cathode of the photo diode is connected to a collector of the first transistor(Q1). When the first transistor(Q1) is turned off, the photo coupler(PT) is turned off. A base and a collector of the second transistor(Q2) are coupled with a collector of the photo transistor in common. An emitter of the second transistor(Q2) is coupled with an output terminal of a rectifier(10) and an output terminal of a power transistor(T1). When the photo coupler(PT) is turned off, the second transistor(Q2) turns off a driving power which is applied to an input driving power terminal of a power driving IC(20).
