PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clamp-type ammeter by which the current of a conductor, to be measured, inside a clamp window can be measured more safely and smoothly. SOLUTION: Clamp sensor parts 18, 55 which are divided so as to be capable of forming a magnetic circuit are housed separately on the side of their respective tip parts 13, 53. A pair of upper and lower casings 12, 52 which are shaft-supported so as to be freely opened and closed via a shaft 17 arranged and installed on the side of base end parts 16, 54 are constituted. At least a moving-side lock body 22 by which a pressure force to a closing direction is given and which is built in on the side of a tip face 12a, a slide body 28 which is arranged and installed so as to be freely slid in the front-and-rear direction via an operating part 30 protruding from the side of a surface part 14 to the base end part 16, a contact board 37 which is arranged and installed by providing a land contact 38 to be made and broken according to the movement state of the slide body 28 and an opening-operation body 42 which forcibly opens and operates the moving-side lock body 22 when the slide body 28 is retreated and which releases the coupling relationship between itself and a fixation- side lock body 56 provided on the tip side of the casing 52 are provided at the casing 12.
