PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such problem in a conventional distance indicator that keeping of the indicator at a certain distance from an object can be achieved only by methods of using an optical distance sensor or electric waves, resulting in the necessity of an arithmetic circuit for signal processing or enlargement of the indicator. SOLUTION: A plurality of visible light rays are convergently radiated, and while confirming pattern of light formed on the surface of the object through visual observation, the position of the object is adjusted so that the pattern converges into one point or a certain form, thus making it possible to hold constant the distance between the indicator and the object.
