PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle lamp device with a lens, having a thin-walled part flexible that enables the lens to be bent backward so as to dampen an impact of an obstacle, when the vehicle collides with an obstacle. SOLUTION: The vehicle lamp device 5 is mounted on the front of a vehicle with the lens 4 being partly provided with the thin-walled part (27 or 4c) enabling the lens 4 to be flexible.
