PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stop ring that can be manufactured at low cost and assembled easily and an optical connector plug. SOLUTION: In the stop ring 60 that is fitted to the rear end of a plug frame 30 and that holds, between the ring and the frame, a ferrule 40 with an optical fiber fixed and an elastic member 50 for pressing the ferrule 40 in the axial direction; the outer circumference of the part to be fitted to the plug frame 30 is formed with at least one projection 64 for engaging with a notched part which is provided in the rear end side of the plug frame 30.
