PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively damp vibration of a closure body for eliminating problems caused by vibration of the closure body which frequently occur in a conventional pressure regulating valve. SOLUTION: In the pressure regulating valve for regulating fluid pressure, or especially, fuel pressure in a fuel supply system in an internal combustion engine, a damping chamber 32 is provided on the side 20b apart from a fluid inlet 6 in a closure body 20 (20a, 20b), and an introduction restricting passage 36 (36a, 36b) connected from the fluid inlet 6 to the damping chamber 32, and a discharge restricting passage 38 (38a) connected from the damping chamber 32 to a fluid carrying port 8 are provided.
