<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid crystal display device having a high aperture ratio and showing less deterioration in the picture quality. SOLUTION: A pixel electrode 13 and a signal line electrode 12 are overlapped with an insulating film in-between. As for the insulating film, the device has a porous silica film 230 having <=2.5 dielectric constant and a protective insulating film 231 of a Si3N4 film, and this decreases the parasitic capacitance between the pixel electrode 13 and the signal line electrode 12 and prevents shadowing in an image due to the crosstalk of signals.</p> |
