PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To input data in a data imprinting device in a state where a front cover is attached and to inspect whether the display part of the device is effective. SOLUTION: An aperture 20g for inputting data in a data module and an aperture 20h for inspecting the display of an LCD being the display part of the module are formed on the front cover 20. After the cover 20 is attached to a main body base part, a data input terminal 65 is connected to an input part through the aperture 20g so as to input a preset code and initial data. A shutter button 11 is pressed and held by an actuator 67, the tip part 66a of an actuator 66 is inserted through the aperture 20h, and a shutter blade is turned and held at an opening position. Thus, a path for date light is opened and light emitted from a light source 68 is transmitted through the LCD and picked up by an image pickup device 69.
