PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball spline with a rack capable of providing both of reciprocating movement and rotating movement and being manufactured into a compact size at a low cost by easily joining to conventional products by a conventional technology and to solve such problems in combination of a conventional ball spline and a ball screw, as enlarging a structure for avoiding the interference of mutual and impairing versatility of a mechanism having specific sizes of the ball spline and the ball screw. SOLUTION: This composite motion driving mechanism complementes the both of the reciprocating movement and the rotating movement without impairing both the functionality of the ball spline and that of the basic mechanism of the rack and pinion at all. The ball spline having superior machine characteristics, is provided with a round rack (round screw rack) capable of pinion driving on a round shaft part having no interference with a rolling groove in a ball spline shaft of a popular size of high versatility while the basic mechanism of the rack and pinion is driven being guided by a nut of the ball spline.
