Oral administration of chicken yolk Ig-gamma antibodies to treat disease

The use of Igã antibodies obtained from the egg of a domestic fowl hen which gas been actively orally immunized against pathogenic organisms by injection of the hen with an immunogen. The immunogen contains determinants specific to elicit antibodies for treating systemic manifestations of an infectious non-intestinal disease associated with a pathogenic organism. Also disclosed is the use if Igã antibodies in treating infectious disease associated with pathogenic organisms in an HIV-positive or immune compromised patient.
