CONTACT PIN PROTECTION STRUCTURE FOR BATTERY CHARGER

PURPOSE: A contact pin protection structure for a battery charger is provided to improve the performance of the product by minimizing the damage applied to the contact pin and by preventing the pin from separating. CONSTITUTION: The contact pin protection structure comprises a contact pin unit(300), a protrusion(330) formed on the lower part of contact pin unit for connecting with the hole formed on the printed circuit board, a plurality of contact pins(340) formed on the left and right parts of the upper surface of the contact pin unit for electrically contacting with the battery, and a plurality of ribs(350) formed between the left contact pin and the right contact pin. The contact pin unit is formed by the insulating part(320) and the ribs by bonding process at the connecting part(310) is formed by adhering the ribs on the whole insulating part and connecting part. The ribs are rectangular shape and are made of rubber. The height of all ribs is less that of the contact pin. The ribs are separated from the bottom of the charging hole with a predefined distance.
