PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic wave shield material as well as manufacturing method thereof which is manufactured into an arbitrary shape. SOLUTION: An electromagnetic wave shield material 1 is provided wherein soft magnetic powder 3 coupling-processed with a coupling agent 4 is mixed with a liquid crystal polymer 2. A manufacturing method of the electromagnetic wave shield material 1 is provided which comprises a process where the soft magnetic powder 3 is coupling-processed, a process where the powder 3 is kneaded with the liquid crystal polymer 2, and a process where the kneaded material is molded into a given shape.
