PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cable which facilitates the work for taking out a cable core. SOLUTION: A coated fiber laminate 3 is formed by laminating plural sheets of coated optical fiber ribbons 2 juxtaposed with plural coated optical fibers 1 and the outer peripheral side of the coated fiber laminate 3 is provided with yarn 9, by which the cable core 7 is formed. Tension members 5 are arranged along the longitudinal direction of the cable core 7 and the circumferences of the cable core 7 and the tension members 5 are integrally covered with a sheath 4 in the state that the outer peripheral surface of the cable core 7 and the outer peripheral surfaces of the tension members 5 are held in contact with each other via an adhesive layer 8 around the tension member 5. A gap part 6 having no sheath 4 is formed around the contact parts of the tension members 5 and the cable core 7.
