PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic lock inexpensive at manufacturing cost, with a small number of parts, simple in structure and hard to fail. SOLUTION: This electromagnetic lock is furnished with two pieces of solenoids 2, 2 arranged in parallel with each other in the thickness direction of a door and a locking rod 5 arranged in parallel between two pieces of the solenoids 2, 2, and plungers 3, 3 of the solenoids 2, 2 and the locking rod 5 are connected to each other by a connecting member 6. Width and height of the electromagnetic lock 1 are made small by effectively using depth of the electromagnetic lock 1 by arranging the solenoids 2, 2 in the thickness direction of the door. The driving direction of the solenoids 2, 2 and the moving direction of the locking rod 5 are in parallel with each other, and as converting part in the driving direction of the solenoid a conventional electromagnetic lock is furnished with is not required, this electromagnetic lock 1 has a small nimber of parts and is imple in structure, and consequently, rarely fails and is inexpensive.
