The use of p-hydroxy-phenylacetic acid (I) and its salts for reducing repellent properties of insecticides is claimed. (I) can be conveniently used in the form of an insecticidal compsn. (claimed) which also contains other insecticides, esp. carbamates (II), carboxylates (III), phosphates or phosphonates (IV) or (nitro or cyano)-(imino or methylene) cpds. (V).
