<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer medium free from a residual solvent, excellent in wear resistance and capable of disposing a protective layer excellent in thickness stability and uniform in thickness and a magnetic recording medium which ensures a low variation of magnetic output by using the transfer medium (transfer foil). SOLUTION: In the transfer medium 1 obtained by successively disposing a peelable protective layer 3 and an adhesive layer 4 on a base 2, the protective layer 3 is formed of a composition containing >=30 wt.% vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer resin, the adhesive layer is formed of a composition containing >=50 wt.% acrylic resin having an average molecular weight of <=50,000 and the glass transition temperatures of the resins are higher than the glass transition temperature of a substrate to be subjected to transfer.</p> |
