PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceiling embedded air conditioner wherein an optional part can be mounted easily and leakage of chilled air to the outside of an air conditioner main body can be avoided. SOLUTION: The ceiling embedded air conditioner comprises the air conditioner main body 1 housing a heat exchanger 11, a blower 9 and a drain pan 13 covering a bottom face of the heat exchanger, a decorative panel mounted on a bottom face of the air conditioner main body 1, a box-shaped heat insulation body 3 disposed substantially in contact with an inner face of a side plate 1A of the air conditioner main body 1 and surrounding the heat exchanger 11, and knockout holes 100-103 formed in at least two sites on the side plate 11A opposite to the heat insulation body 3 for mounting the optional part. A sealing part surrounding the knockout holes 100-103 in provided between the side plate 11A and the heat insulation body 3. |
