PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cladding material for electric wire that is resistant to abrasion used for a sheathing and insulation layers. SOLUTION: The cladding material for the electric wire is composed of the following components A, B and C, that is, A: a low density polyethylene obtained by polymerization using metallocene catalysts, B: rubber, and C: magnesium hydroxide surface-treated with a coupling agent.
