PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide outer covering structure for a portable article easily assembled, detachably fitting a mounting member to a watch body and reducing the displacement and deformation of the mounting member. SOLUTION: A pair of fitting parts 101a are formed at the outer peripheral parts on the twelve o'clock side and six o'clock side of a watch case 101, and a fitting part fork part 101b between the fitting parts 101a is formed in such a shape as to be drawn into the center side from the fitting parts 101a. A projecting part 101c projecting to the outer peripheral side is formed at the upper part of the fitting part fork part, and an engaging step part 101d is formed of step difference between the projecting part 101c and its lower part of the fitting part fork part 101b. Engaging piece parts 1045, 1046 formed at edge part 1042, 1043 of a decorative edge 104 are fitted to the engaging step part 101d.
