PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus from which possibility of failure and malfunction of electronic parts and printed circuit boards within an outer frame are eliminated even in the case of hot weather in summer, in a water heater or a boiler for heating installed outdoors. SOLUTION: The outer frame 1 installed outdoors is provided with a burner section 2, a heat exchanger 3, a valve, electronic parts such as sensors and the like and a printed circuit board 4 installed in an inner side. A ventilation fan 30 activated by a signal from an abnormal temperature sensor 31 for detecting an abnormal temperature in the outer frame 1 is provided on the outer frame 1. At the time of an abnormally high temperature, air inside the outer frame 1 is discharged so as to surely prevent temperature rise, and therefore burning of the electronic parts and the malfunction can be avoided. The apparatus can be used securely for a long time regardless of seasons.
