PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for judging combustion abnormality in combustion equipment that can reliably prevent the generation of indoor contamination and at the same time improve the ease of use of the combustion equipment. SOLUTION: In a bath boiler with water heaters where a water heater with high combustion output is combined with a bath boiler with low combustion output, when only a bath-side combustion burner is in individual combustion operation, it is judged whether combustion failure for causing indoor contamination has occurred or not depending on whether a CO concentration detection value from a CO sensor has exceeded a first setting threshold Da or not for the first 15 minutes after combustion operation has started (steps S1-S4). In 15 minutes after the individual combustion operation has started, a setting threshold is changed to a second threshold value Db (Db<Da) to judge whether the CO concentration detection value has exceeded Db or not (steps S1-S3, and S6). The judgment of combustion abnormality is made when a state where each CO concentration detection value has exceeded a setting threshold continues for 30 seconds (steps S7 and S8). When it is judged that combustion is abnormal, a safety stop processing is made, where the processing consists of the combustion stop processing of the combustion burner and the alarming processing of the occurrence of abnormality (step S9).
