PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that in a camera system which is constituted of a camera main body 1 with a display device for displaying the power supply state of an external power supply device and of the external power supply device capable of connecting a power source and various electrical signals and attachably/detachably loaded to the camera main body and which performs various operations based on the various electric signals, in the case of loading a constant voltage external power source such as a DC coupler 5 and a battery 4 at the same time, the power is supplied from the battery and consumed until the voltage of the battery becomes equal to the voltage of the DC coupler, then, the battery should be charged again when the DC coupler is detached. SOLUTION: When the DC coupler 5 for supplying the power from the constant voltage power source is loaded, a DC coupler detecting signal is inputted to a power supply control means 304 from a power supply discriminating means 303, then, the output is controlled so that the power may not be supplied from other battery 4, so that the power of the battery 4 is prevented from being consumed unnecessarily. |
