METHOD OF INSPECTING SHORT CIRCUIT IN BATTERY AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING BATTERY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of inspecting short circuit in a battery, ensuring inspection of a battery to be in short-circuited resulting from the swelled plates after charging/discharging. SOLUTION: The method of inspecting short circuit in a battery which has a plate group 1 constructed with a positive electrode plate 2 and a negative electrode plate 3 stacked via a separator 4 and inserted into battery jar, comprises inspecting of the short circuit of the plate group 1 using a short- circuit inspection device 10 while applying pressure to the plate group 1 with pressure means 7 before inserting the plate group 1 into the battery jar to virtually create the compressed condition of the separator 4 due to the swelling of the plates 2, 3 after charging/discharging for short-circuit inspection.
