PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate difficult points caused by manual work by automating the work when making cylindrical batteries shrink-packed, and concurrently prevent scale of equipmental constitution from getting large in this automation. SOLUTION: On a lining machine for cylindrical batteries 1 that lines up a prescribed number of the same having a cylindrical case painted with a pattern, whose painted position and seam position of the case are in a prescribed relation, such a lineup means 20 is provided that position of the pattern on the prescribed number of cylindrical batteries 1 to be lined up is put in order by utilizing seam of the case of the said cylindrical batteries 1.
