PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clearly indicate the locations of facilities in a service area or a parking area and the location of its own vehicle when the vehicle being guided along a route enters the service area or parking area. SOLUTION: The detailed map information of a service area or parking area of a speedway is provided. When its own vehicle CM enters the area, e.g. the service area SA, during travel on the speedway FHW which is the route RT along which it is guided, the detailed map information of the area SA which it has entered is read and used to display a detailed map of the area SA so that the driver is able to find the locations of parking space P, restaurants, shops and the like. The position CM of the vehicle is also displayed. |
