PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to impart a softness and sufficient volume as a feeling of a blanket while sufficiently utilizing a chinchilla processing in which a luster variation is observed and to provide a Mayer blanket provided with a chinchilla processing which has not been present in conventional processing when producing the blanket made of a Mayer cloth easily having long length of a fluff. SOLUTION: This method comprises making a base cloth of Mayer knitting into the blanket of the Mayer cloth through a prescribed process, then folding the blanket of the Mayer cloth in a wrinkled state, carrying out high- temperature boiled water treatment and cooling the blanket while keeping the state and then carrying out heat drying treatment of at least loosed fleece part side of the blanket of the Mayer cloth.
