PORTABLE INFORMATION TERMINAL EQUIPMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide portable information terminal equipment which allows portable information terminals to communicate data with each other while confirming data displayed on display devices by arranging infrared communication transmitter-receivers above display devices of portable information terminals. SOLUTION: Display devices 11 and 21 are used to display data information inputted by operation on key operation parts 12 and 22 and status information of apparatus like the waiting state of the i mode display. Infrared communication transmitter-receivers 13 and 23 are placed above display devices 11 and 21 and are provided in the upper parts of portable information terminal housings, namely, on the right of incoming/charging display lamps 14 and 14 and in the end parts of housings. It is confirmed by a communication possible range confirmation means, omitted in figure, that the infrared communication transmitter-receiver 13 and the infrared communication transmitter-receiver 23 being the other party are within the communication possible range.
