<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for compensating temperature of a resistive storage device for reading only. SOLUTION: Even when specific resistance of a connection resistor having temperature dependency is varied, input voltage sent to a ROM device is adjusted in accordance with variation of temperature to keep a current flowing in the ROM at a constant level substantially. In one embodiment, voltage of a reference resistor 29 is decided by providing a constant current source 27 to the reference resistance, and this voltage level is applied to an input of the ROM device. The reference resistance is selected so as to have a similar conduction characteristic as a data resistor 30, for example, poly-silicon. When temperature is raised, since specific resistance of the data resistor of poly-silicon and the reference resistor are decreased in a similar state, the reference resistance also is reduced. Since voltage of the reference is reduced in accordance with voltage drop of the data resistor, a current flowing in a the selected data resistor can be kept constant.</p> |
