<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flow quality evaluation method and its system employing a frequency stability analysis that uses only data measured at one point in a packet network so as to estimate and evaluate the variance in a packet one-way transfer delay time. SOLUTION: Only packet arrival time stream data measured at one point are used from a flow transmitted at a prescribed rate and a communication flow for configuring a closed loop through acknowledge in a TCP communication, the frequency stability is calculated to utilize temporal fluctuations of the entire flow quality of a communication channel, that is the variance in packet transfer delay times has a positive correlation with a value representing the frequency stability of the flow for evaluating the flow quality.</p> |
