METHOD OF MANUFACTURING COLOR FILTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for stably manufacturing a color filter equipped with an excellent coloring layer with no void and with no stain of the ground. SOLUTION: A transparent electrode is arranged on a substrate. A coloring substance is deposited on the transparent electrode by applying electric current thereto and by using an electrochemical reaction. Subsequently the substrate is gradually lowered to be immersed in a warming bath, cleaned, gradually lifted from the warming bath and dried. Next the coloring substance is hardened to form a monochromatic coloring layer. The coloring layer consisting of plural colors is provided by repeating the operation several times corresponding to the number of necessary colors so as to form the color filter.
