PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile machine capable of communication with relatively low fare and a recording medium capable of being read by a computer as facsimile machine. SOLUTION: This machine is provided with a function performing Internet facsimile transmission of picture data through the Internet/intranet in addition to a function performing facsimile transmission of picture data being equal to a facsimile message through a public telephone line network 6. This equipment preliminarily registers at least either the facsimile number or the electronic mail address of the transmission destination of the picture data to a destination table 12a, and preferentially performs Internet facsimile transmission to an electronic mail address if the electronic mail address of a corresponding transmission destination is stored in the case picture data being a transmission object is in color.
