HEAT DEVELOPABLE IMAGE RECORDING MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat developable image recording material particularly for a photomechanical process and for a scanner and an image setter excellent in productivity and excellent also in suitability to heat development. SOLUTION: In the heat developable image recording material with at least one image forming layer on the base and at least one protective layer on the image forming layer, (1) the binder of the protective layer comprises a polymer having 25-47 deg.C glass transition temperature (Tg) and an I/O value (given by dividing the inorganic value by the organic value based on an organic conceptual diagram) of 0.55-0.73 and (2) the viscosity of a coating fluid for the image forming layer is >=1 Pa.s as viscosity at 0.1 s-1 shear rate at the temperature of the coating fluid equal to that of a film surface in constant-rate drying.
