METHOD FOR FORMING LAMINA SAMPLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recover a lamina sample in a good preservation state by preventing such a phenomenon that a carrier tape is peeled from the surface of a sample block at the end part of the sample block when the lamina sample is formed by slicing the surface layer part of the sample block. SOLUTION: After the carrier tape 10 of which the surface is coated with a pressure-sensitive adhesive is bonded to the surface of the sample block 1, the surface layer part of the sample block 1 is sliced using a cutter 4 and the cut-off lamina sample is held to the carrier tape 10 to be recovered. In this method, the cartrier tape 10 is bonded to the surface of the sample block 1 in such a state that tension is applied to the carrier tape 10 and the tension of the carrier tape 10 is released on the front and rear sides of the sample block 1 in the running direction of the cutter 4 and, in this state, the surface layer part of the sample block 1 is sliced using the cutter 4.
