PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder head of a water-cooled 4-cycle multi-cylinder engine to improve the sealability of a mating surface of the cylinder head and a cylinder block by sufficiently ensuring the rigidity between tightening bolts without increasing the cost or the weight. SOLUTION: In the cylinder head 29 of the water-cooled 4-cycle multi-cylinder engine with a cooling water passage 55 to converge a water jacket 52 formed around each cylinder of the cylinder head 29 tightened by the tightening bolts 58 on the cylinder block 30 integrated with the cylinder bead 29 in the width direction of the cylinder head 29, an outer wall 61 of the cooling water passage 55 is formed diagonal outwardly and upwardly with respect to the cylinder axis 62 from an end on the cooling water passage 55 side of a base plate 60 located on the mating surface 53 with the cylinder block 30 of the cylinder head 29.
