PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve working environment by improving deterioration of working environment due to the hot air from an engine room installed on a revolving the frame or improving sound leakage from the intake or the outlet for cooling air. SOLUTION: In a backhoe in which a mounting part of an excavating machine is arranged at the forward end of a revolving frame 2, and an engine 15 is disposed in an engine room 16 on the rearward part of the revolving frame, and further, a seat 13 is disposed at the upper part of the forward side of the engine, the upper part of the revolving frame is divided into the engine room, an air passage room 32 guiding the cooling air, and a forward chamber 30 positioned below a forward step 19, and a communicating opening 28a is formed between the air passage room 32 and the forward chamber, and the intake 33 is provided at a position remote from the communication opening of the forward chamber. A radiator 22 and a cooling air fan 21 are arranged at one side of the engine room and a discharge hole 26 is opened at the other side thereof, an air deflecting board 41 guiding the discharging air to the discharge hole is provided, and further, a sound absorption material 43 is stuck to the air deflecting board.
