PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical device and an optical device for optical recording and reproducing such that when a lens to effectively increase the numerical aperture is combined with an objective lens and even when the refractive index of the lens is increased so as to obtain an enough effect to effectively increase the numerical aperture, reflection of light on the lens surface is prevented and the use efficiency of light is increased, and to provide an information recording and reproducing device using that optical device for optical recording and reproducing. SOLUTION: A quartz substrate 11 on which an aspheric convex lens 12 is disposed is adhered with a quartz substrate 13 on which an aspheric convex lens 14 is disposed to constitute an objective lens 15. A solid immersion lens 16 is embedded as the lens to increase the NA in the bottom of the quartz substrate 13. A CeO2 antireflection film 17 is formed on the lower lens face of the solid immersion lens 16, and a diamond-like carbon protective film 18 is formed to cover the CeO2 antireflection film 17. |
