PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling a communication of a digital keyphone is provided to use a universal MCU(Micro Controller) by controlling an additional module using a general I/O port instead of an SIO(Serial Input Output). CONSTITUTION: A digital keyphone(100) transmits and receives data with a main device for controlling a keyphone system. An additional module(200) composes a transmission IC(210) for transmitting data, and is connected with the digital keyphone(100). An additional module(300) is connected with the additional module(200) for transmitting data to the digital keyphone(100). The digital keyphone(100) has a transmission IC(120) for transmitting and receiving data with the main device, a codec(130) for converting an analog signal outputted from the transmission IC(120) into a digital signal, or converting a digital signal inputted from the outside into an analog signal, a handset(140), microphone(150), and speaker(160) for performing the communication with the additional module(200) connected with the main device and the additional module(300), and an MCU(110) for controlling the additional module(300) through the handset(140), microphone(150), and speaker(160).
