PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid high polymer fuel cell with stably high generating performance during operation. SOLUTION: During normal operation, while measuring the humidity of a unreacted fuel gas exhausted out of an anode portion 1a of the fuel cell 1 with a humidity sensor 90, a controller 9 controls the temperatures in humidifiers 6, 8 in accordance with the measured value to set the quantity of a steam contained in the unreacted fuel gas exhausted out of the anode portion 1a to be the saturated steam or more at all times. |
