PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly control an internal temperature of a projector by stably controlling rotating speeds of a cooling fan. SOLUTION: The projector is provided with a feedback control system having a temperature detecting device for detecting internal temperatures of the projector, a cooling fan for reducing a rise in the internal temperature, and a control device for controlling rotating speeds of the cooling fan according to the detection results detected by the temperature detecting device. The control device obtains a control output for deciding a rotating speed by a proportional-plus- integral action or a proportional-plus integral-plus-derivative action to a deviation of the internal temperature from a preset target temperature.
