PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent accidents due to fault of equipment by predicting the possibility of the accident due to deterioration or the like of the equipment with accident pattern data patterned, from conventional accident data as a case base. SOLUTION: A system monitor device comprises a sensor data recording means 12 inputting sensor data from various sensors 21, installed at a control place 2 to be monitored to record the data in a recorder, for detecting an accident based on difference data of the data and to generate a trigger signal, a display unit 11 for displaying the input sensor data, an accident pattern register means 14 for extracting the sensor data near the trigger signal generating the time point from the data recorded in the recorder, digitizing the case and recording is as accident pattern data in an accident pattern data recorder, and an accident data reproducing means 18. In this case, the means 18 retrieves the data recorded in the recorder at a trigger signal generating time, reproduces it, generates the case digitized accident pattern data based on the reproduced data, compares the accident pattern data with the accident pattern data recorded in the accident pattern data recorder and infers the accident pattern.
