PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supervisory apparatus and a supervisory system by which a foreign object can inexpensively and automatically be detected and traced without the need for a moving part. SOLUTION: An imaging section 11 images a supervisory object area SA. A foreign object detection section 13 detects a position of a foreign object F appearing in the supervisory object area SA on the basis of an output of a sensor 12 such as a microphone installed in a plurality of positions. An image correction section 14 magnifies an area including the position of the foreign object F in an image S1 obtained by the imaging and provides an output of the magnified image S3. The image S3 is displayed on a screen 21 of a display device 2 installed in an operating area OA through a transmission line L.
